Storytelling Festival

Thursday, October 27, 8:00pm – 10:00pm
Marquette I, II, IV

Jerry Blue
Keeping traditional African American stories alive is part of Jerry Blue’s mission as a storyteller. He believes that too often we look to television, movies and books, and overlook human sources—the people who have been around for years and know the local lore and stories. Brought to you through the support of COMPAS.
Dianne de Las Casas
Author and award-winning storyteller Dianne de Las Casas sizzles on stage with “traditional folklore gone fun!” Audiences don’t just listen—they sing, clap, dance, chant, and roar with laughter. Dianne adapts traditional folklore, adding fun audience participation, song, and, of course, humor.
Judi Moreillon
Judi Moreillon began her journey with storytelling as a classroom teacher and developed the art as a school librarian and children’s book author. In her storytelling presentations, she shares family stories as well as authentic stories from cultures other than her own.
